Born: Philadelphia, PA

Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Danny Ives was born March 26th 1980 in Philadelphia and has been training for 15 years in the Martial arts. He started taking karate, then did some boxing. It wasn't long before the UFC caught his eye and after having watched Royce Gracie beat all his opponents using simple ground techniques, Danny, being a small kid, thought that this style would be a good fit for him. Since then he has trained at many of top programs such as Renzo Gracie's gym in NYC, Militich's MMA in Iowa and Brazilian Top Team in Rio. In 2005 Danny had a chance to come train with Master Lloyd Irvin in Maryland and has been there every since.

Over the years Danny has won many championships, in 2001, after having been a purple belt for only six months he entered the toughest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the United States, the Pan-Americans. Danny walked away with the Gold medal at 147 lbs in the Adult division. He has also won 15 titles in the North American Grappling Association, all in the Advanced skill division, from as light as flyweight all the way up to light heavyweight gi or nogi.

Danny currently lives in Camp Springs, Maryland and when he's not training for tournaments or MMA he likes to read books and watch movies.
